Favorite Film Scene: Adaptation

The screenplay seminar scene from Adaptation is one of my favorite movie scenes of all time.

I'm planning on making this a recurring subject, so look out for more "Favorite Film Scenes" in the future. And be sure to post descriptions or links to your favorite movie scenes in the comments below!

To each his own. :) I agree it's a good scene, but truly great? Greater than these scenes? ;D

"This man has no dick."

"Failure is not an option!"

"Do or do not: there is no try."

"No ticket!"

"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."

"You maniacs! You blew it up! Oh, damn you! God! Damn you all to hell!"

*high-pitched shrieking*

And of course this classic scene.

And this is just the first ones that come to mind. There are loads of great movie scenes which I think would give Adaptation a run for its money. But by all means yours is really good, too. :) Definitely one for the records. An excellent exposé of many artists' desire to do what no one else has done before -- and why there's a reason for no one having done it. ;D

All good choices. But slow down! I'm trying to draw this out. The scene from Adaptation still moves me and ends so wonderfully with a little humor. Love it.

I'll have to think of some more scenes that I found amazing or life changing. I do like the scene you picked Jay. I find it really cool that Cage ask the question and the guy starts talking about how he needs conflict. This makes the guy start giving him conflict and yells at Cage.
Also your right that at the end of the scene it as that little humor. Man I love movies.
