Looks like somebody was inspired by Guillermo Del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth, eh? This seems to play off of a very similar concept: two main leads -- a young naive girl and an adult morally-questionable male -- and a fairy tale that's interwoven with the reality the two find themselves in. The only difference is that the male lead doesn't seem to be nearly as evil as the one in Pan's Labyrinth (or evil at all, for that matter), and the girl isn't having lucid daydreams she mistakes for reality but rather is being told a story she lucidly envisions.
